North Carolina’s The State magazine profiled Harold Huntington more than 70 years ago, referring to him as a Yankee from New Jersey but also the Blueberry King of the World. His farm in Pender County was lauded as the largest blueberry farm in the world at 140 acres. Today’s farms in southeastern North Carolina are frequently much larger.
